Wood is gaining altitude !

7 December 2023

Structural timber construction is currently undergoing significant advances in its evolution and development. In this dynamic landscape, the Renewable Materials Research Center (CRMR) is actively improving the field through diligent research and development efforts.

In this context, the CRMR can count on the participation of its members, such as professors Alexander Salenikovich and Christian Dagenais, to promote knowledge related to timber construction. Promoting this field is particularly relevant in the current context, as it aligns with global efforts to promote sustainable, and eco-friendly construction practices.

Research and expertise carried out by Alexander Salenikovich and Christian Dagenais were featured in the science section of La Presse, demonstrating their highly significant contributions to the construction sector. Professor Alexander Salenikovich had the opportunity to share his work on structural attachments for timber construction, while professor Christian Dagenais highlighted his knowledge and expertise on current fire standards.

Congratulations, and well done to both of you!
