Congratulations to participants in the « Three minute thesis » faculty competition – 2024 edition

On March 18, the 2024 edition of the « Three minute thesis » faculty competition was held in the cafeteria of the Pavillon l’Abitibi-Price. We’d like to congratulate the 8 candidates in the French-language section and the 4 candidates in the English-language section for their courage and preparation!

Here are the evening’s two grand finalists who will represent the Faculty of Forestry, Geography and Geomatics (FFGG) at the institutional competitions on March 26 (live webcast on the FESP YouTube channel starting at noon):

  • Alex Mary for best French-language presentation (“Toasting biosourced adhesives”, directed by Véronic Landry and Pierre Blanchet) and one of the public’s favorites. She won two $180 prizes (CRMR and CEF).
  • Vahideh Akbari for best presentation in English (Let’s dance on the denser floor, directed by Véronic Landry) and one of the audience’s favorites. She won two $180 prizes (CRDIG and FFGG).
