Congratulations to Evelyne Thiffault, recipient of the « Enseignement – corps professoral » prize, one of three  FFGG Teaching and Supervision Award «Prix Enseignement et Encadrement de la FFGG»!

The Faculty of Forestry, Geography, and Geomatics of Laval University (FFGG) awards its «Teaching and Supervision Award» annually. The three FFGG prizes are given on the recommendation of students, and under the responsibility of a committee of which they are members. To encourage greater participation and facilitate analysis and comparison, the three awards are rotated among the three FFGG departments, with one award per department, per year.

The « Enseignement – corps professoral » award is intended to publicly recognize the teaching excellence of a professor at the Faculty. For the 2023 competition, the prize is awarded to  Evelyne Thiffault, Associate Professor in the Department of Wood and Forest Sciences at the FFGG and regular researcher at the Renewable Materials Research Centre, for her many qualities, including sensitivity, attentiveness, dedication and great availability, as well as her ability to foster exchanges, connect with her students and pass on her passion, because this commitment and benevolence are achieved through excellence, rigour and innovation!
