« Receiving the ASMAC – Adhesives and Coatings scholarship is truly a privilege. It represents much more than financial support: it is a mark of trust that gives decisive momentum to my research journey.
Working on the development of saccharide-based, formaldehyde-free bio-adhesives for wood panels is an ambitious but meaningful challenge. The goal is to offer a healthier, more sustainable, and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional glues used in the wood industry.
This scholarship gives me the freedom to fully focus on my doctoral research. It significantly eases the financial burden of graduate studies and allows me to devote more time to experimental research.
I am proud to be part of Université Laval, a dynamic institution that values applied research and technology transfer. The Faculty of Forestry, Geography and Geomatics provides a stimulating learning environment, where sustainability and the responsible use of natural resources are central concerns. Such support has a direct impact on perseverance and motivation. It reminds me that my efforts are recognized, that the work I put in has real value, and that people believe in the potential impact of this research. That sense of recognition is a powerful driving force.
I sincerely thank the ASMAC donors for their generosity. Your contribution supports concrete projects and helps shape a new generation committed to delivering sustainable solutions.»
