The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is the UN’s key body responsible for assessing scientific, technical, and socio-economic knowledge on climate change. Its reports, developed through rigorous procedures and involving thousands of researchers worldwide, serve as essential scientific references for policy decisions and international climate negotiations.
Since 1999, Mr. Nabuurs has actively contributed to the work of the IPCC as a reviewer, author, and lead coordinating author, particularly on issues related to land use and forestry. In this webinar, he will share his unique experience and insights on the internal workings of the IPCC, the preparation of its reports, and their impact on international climate policy.
The session will include a presentation followed by a Q&A period, providing a unique opportunity to engage directly with Mr. Nabuurs.
Join us to gain a deeper understanding of the IPCC and its crucial role in the fight against climate change.
