Under the theme « Research at the FFGG: Contributing to tomorrow’s world », this major event took place over two days rich in discoveries, exchanges, and inspiration. A varied and unique program was offered, including:

  • Traditional and express conferences, providing a clear, dynamic, and impactful overview of the research conducted by our students and postdoctoral fellows;

  • Poster sessions, serving as interactive and visual exchange spaces, highlighting recent research and revealing original perspectives on a variety of stimulating topics;

  • Interactive booths, showcasing research chairs as well as cutting-edge scientific equipment, and offering captivating demonstrations of the latest technologies.

The CRMR is proud to actively contribute to this event through the outstanding participation of several of its students and postdoctoral fellows. Their presence in the conference sessions highlighted the quality, rigor, and impact of their work, while also underscoring the vibrancy of the research conducted within the center. We would like to give special recognition to Christopher Gagnon, Antoine Harel, Samuel Roy Proulx, Alexandre Carrier, Sébastien Dumont, and Ilias El Ouahabi, whose presentations generated great interest and enriched the scientific exchanges. Their remarkable commitment enhances the significance of this event and exemplifies the excellence that defines the CRMR.

On this occasion, two booths also highlighted the expertise and dynamism of the CRMR by showcasing particularly innovative research projects. The first was dedicated to the Canada Research Chair in Sustainable Buildings (CRC-SB), led by Pierre Blanchet, which focuses on developing innovative solutions to optimize the performance, sustainability, and environmental impact of buildings. The second booth showcased Métafor, a meta-team dedicated to adapting forests to climate and environmental challenges. The work presented, with contributions from Alexis Achim and Alexandre Morin-Bernard—whose expertise includes dendrology, sustainable forest management, forest ecosystem resilience, and climate adaptation strategies—demonstrates the importance of an integrated, multidisciplinary approach to strengthening forest ecosystem resilience. These two interactive spaces allowed participants to explore cutting-edge research and engage directly with the teams shaping tomorrow’s innovations.

Moreover, several of our students and postdoctoral fellows presented scientific posters highlighting the richness, diversity, and originality of their research work. These presentations gave participants the opportunity to explore innovative projects across a wide range of disciplines and topics, and to engage directly with the authors to deepen their understanding of scientific and practical challenges. We would like to acknowledge the remarkable contributions of: Tiam Mahmoudian, Luc Lionel Girompaire, Seyed Saman Vakili, Hossein Alinezhadavalzali, Thomas Bouffard, Felix Coulaud, Rebecca Holbach, Léo Bonnetain, Jeremy Piggot, Isabel Cristina Gomez Garcia, Armel Zambou Kenfack, Rolando Montenegro, Gustavo Rodriguez, Agathe Moysan, Manon Mestre, Odile Sainte-Marie-Dionne, Louis-David Giasson, Johanna Gaitan Alvarez, Ophélie Calouro, David Lerisson, Raissa Ngwane Tchanyo, João Vítor Felippe Silva, Sara Etminanrezaerieh, and Lucie Dehon. Their dedication and the quality of their presentations greatly enriched the event, exemplifying the excellence and vitality of the CRMR research community.

Congratulations as well to the recipients of the student and postdoctoral awards presented during the poster and presentation session:

  • Lucie Dehon: Best Scientific Poster Award – 2nd and 3rd year

  • Sara Etminanrezaeieh: Best Scientific Poster Award – 1st year

Congratulations to each and every one of you for your exemplary commitment and valuable contribution to this event!
