PhD Candidate Seyed Ali Emamian Honored with ACI-Québec Scholarship

On November 26–27, 2025, the ACI – Québec and Eastern Ontario Chapter held its annual gathering in Boucherville, an event dedicated to technical presentations, scientific exchange, and discussions on the latest advancements in concrete technology.

During the event, Seyed Ali Emamian, PhD candidate at Université Laval under the supervision of Luca Soeili, was recognized as one of this year’s recipients of the ACI-Québec Scholarship 2025.

Scholarship Amount:
The value of the scholarship is $4,000.

Short Summary of the Project:
My research focuses on creating low-carbon, ultra-durable concrete by incorporating recycled materials and optimizing the mix design to improve packing density and long-term performance. The goal is to reduce cement use, lower environmental impact, and develop concrete that performs reliably over time.

The ACI-Québec Scholarship aims to foster innovation in concrete research, support emerging researchers, and promote sustainable construction practices across Québec.
