Arrival of a new resource at the Canada Research Chair in Sustainable Building

We are pleased to announce the arrival of Bruna Roque Ugulino De Oliveira, who joined the team of the Canada Research Chair in Sustainable Building, led by Pierre Blanchet, as a Research Professional on August 4, 2025.

A graduate in Forest Engineering, Bruna Ugulino holds a PhD in Wood Science from Université Laval. Her background is distinguished by extensive experience in research and innovation in the forestry sector, with particular expertise in wood processing and data analysis.

At the Chair, Bruna’s mandate will be to enhance the Parc2050 code, a tool that projects the evolution of Quebec’s building stock. Her work will expand this tool to cover all of Canada. In synergy with other predictive models, the Parc2050 code will provide a better understanding of future building needs and their societal impacts.

In addition to this key role, Bruna will support research projects conducted by the Chair’s students, thereby helping to strengthen the team’s mission in innovation and sustainable development.
