Congratulations to Véronique Rouleau, Evelyne Thiffault, Jérôme Laganière, David Paré, and Christine Martineau on the publication of their article entitled « Soil Carbon Storage and Stability Controlled by Site Properties More Than Forest Management in a Humid Boreal Forest », in the Soil Science Society of America Journal.
This study examines the factors influencing soil carbon storage and stability in a humid boreal forest. The results show that site properties play a more important role than forest management practices in controlling soil carbon storage and stability. This research contributes to a better understanding of carbon dynamics in boreal forest ecosystems and highlights the importance of site characteristics in developing sustainable forest management strategies and mitigating climate change.
