On October 8, 2024, the Renewable Materials Research Center (RMRC) held its traditional welcome coffee to mark the start of the autumn session. This warm and friendly event provided an opportunity to officially introduce the 25 new members joining our great team this year. Among these newcomers, we enthusiastically welcome 15 master’s and doctoral students, 2 postdoctoral fellows, as well as 8 interns and research assistants. The diversity of their backgrounds and expertise enriches our center’s know-how, bringing new and stimulating perspectives. Their integration will reinforce the collective dynamism of the CRMR, creating an environment even more conducive to innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration and research excellence.
Beyond the presentations, this welcome coffee was a great opportunity to exchange views on the many activities to come over the course of the session. The program includes specialized training courses, expert lectures, and fellowship competitions to support our young researchers. In addition to academic activities, social events are also planned to encourage informal exchanges, strengthen links between members and build a community spirit within the CRMR.
After the coffee, the HQP committee organized a barbecue that allowed everyone to get together in a relaxed, convivial atmosphere. Many thanks to all participants for making this back-to-school event a success, bringing together 80 people.
