Laura Chrétien to Represent Université Laval at the National Final of Three minute thesis!

7 May 2025

The national final of Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is just around the corner! Organized each year by Acfas, this unique scientific competition challenges PhD students from across Canada to present their research project in French, in just three minutes, with clarity, conciseness, and accessibility.

More than just a contest, 3MT is a true celebration of science and communication. It’s an evening filled with suspense, emotion, laughter, and discovery, all in a dynamic and inspiring atmosphere.

This year, 22 finalists from across the country will gather in Montreal to share their passion for research. Among them, Laura Chrétien, a PhD student in wood engineering and bio-based materials, under the supervision of Professor Véronic Landry, will have the honour of representing the  Université Laval.

Laura will present her talk titled: «  Proteins at the Service of Adhesives! » — a brilliant example of scientific innovation applied to bio-based materials.

📅 The final will take place on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., at the Auditorium of the Grande Bibliothèque – BAnQ, 475 De Maisonneuve Boulevard East, Montreal.
📺 The event will also be live-streamed on the Acfas Facebook: page: https://www.facebook.com/events/1224119219421077?locale=fr_CA

Join us for this unique scientific event and cheer on the 22 finalists — especially Laura Chrétien!
