Launch of the CRMR’s scientific vulgarization scholarship for the Winter 2026 session!

The Renewable Materials Research Centre is pleased to announce the launch of its Scientific Vulgarization Scholarship Program for the Winter 2026 session.

Eligibility: This program is open exclusively to students who are members of the CRMR. Applicants must be supervised or co-supervised by a professor who is a regular member of the Centre.

Objectives 

The scholarship aims to:

  • Promote excellence, collaboration, and innovation aligned with the CRMR’s research axes.

  • Encourage science communication and the dissemination of knowledge generated through the Centre’s research activities.

Funding

  • $250 per article.
  • Up to a maximum of $1,000 per session.
  • The program will remain open for the winter 2025 session until funds are depleted.

Rules and selection criteria

  • Students must write a text of 700 to 1,500 words, presenting in lay terms the content of a scientific article they have published within the last year, on a topic related to one of the CRMR’s research areas.
  • At least two co-authors of the article must be CRMR members.
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled, and registration for the Winter 2026 term is mandatory.
  • Only one scholarship per student per session will be awarded.
  • The text must be clear, well structured, and accessible to a broad audience..
  • The article must include at least one relevant photo or image.
  • References must be cited in the text using the [1] format and accompanied by a complete bibliography
  • Applicants must incorporate revisions suggested by the coordination committee.
  • Applicants must consent to the publication of the text on the CRMR website and social media platforms

Required documents

  • A text of 700 to 1500 words
  • One or more images and/or video(s) related to the subject.
  • A recent photo of the student

Images and videos must be sent as separate attachments and clearly identified using your initials, followed by the figure or media number.
