Launch of the CRMR’s scientific vulgarization scholarship for the Summer 2025 Session!

The Renewable Materials Research Centre is pleased to inform you that its Scientific Vulgarization Scholarship Program for for the Summer 2025 session is now open.

Note: Only students who are members of the Renewable Materials Research Centre (RMRC) are eligible for this program. They must have a director or co-director who is a CRMR regular member.

Objectives

To promote excellence, collaboration, and innovation related to CRMR’s research themes, while highlighting the importance of communicating research and knowledge to a broader audience.

Amount granted: 250 dollars  per popularized article

Deadline: The program will remain open until funds are depleted for the Summer 2025 session (Maximum: $1,000 per session).

Rules and selection criteria

  • The student must write a 700 to 1,500-word article that communicates the content of a scientific paper they have recently published (within the past year) on a topic related to one of CRMR’s research areas.

  • At least two authors of the scientific article must be members of the CRMR.

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled or have graduated within the past four months
    (registration for the Summer 2025 session is required for recent graduates).

  • The article must be well written and clearly explained, making the content accessible to a general audience.

  • The text must be accompanied by at least one relevant image or photo.

  • References must be cited within the text (e.g., [1]), and a bibliography must be included.

  • The student must incorporate any revisions suggested by the coordination committee.

  • The student must consent to the publication of their article on CRMR’s website and social media platforms.

Required documents

  • A text of 700 to 1500 words
  • One or more images and/or video(s)
  • A photo of the student
