Launch of the CRMR’s scientific vulgarization scholarship for the Autumn 2025 Session!

The Renewable Materials Research Centre is pleased to announce the launch of its Scientific Vulgarization Scholarship Program for the Autumn 2025 session.

Eligibility :  This program is open exclusively to students who are members of the CRMR. Applicants must be supervised or co-supervised by a professor who is a regular member of the Centre.

Objectives : To promote excellence, collaboration, and innovation related to CRMR’s research themes, while highlighting the importance of communicating research and knowledge to a broader audience.

Funding

  • $250 per article.
  • Up to a maximum of $1,000 per session.
  • The program will remain open for the Fall 2025 session until funds are depleted.

Rules and selection criteria

  • Students must write a text of 700 to 1,500 words, presenting in lay terms the content of a scientific article they have published within the last year, on a topic related to one of the CRMR’s research areas.
  • At least two co-authors of the article must be CRMR members.
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in a study program or have graduated within the past four months (Fall 2025 enrollment is required for graduate students).
  • Only one scholarship per student per session will be awarded.
  • The text must be well-written and accessible to a broad audience.
  • The text must be accompanied by at least one relevant image or photo.
  • References must be included in-text ([1]) and followed by a complete bibliography.
  • Applicants must integrate the revisions suggested by the coordination committee.
  • Applicants must agree to the publication of their text on the CRMR website and social media.

Required documents

  • A text of 700 to 1500 words
  • One or more images and/or video(s) related to the subject.
  • A recent photo of the student

Submission : All required documents must be submitted no later than the 15th of each month by email to : besma.bouslimi@sbf.ulaval.ca.

Images and videos must be sent separately as attachments and clearly identified using your initials followed by the figure or media number.
