Their article entitled «Effects of the cutterhead diameter and log infeed position on energy requirements of a chipper-canter», published in Wood and Fiber Science in 2015, received the 3rd place in the annual «George Marra Awards» given annually by the Society of Wood Science and Technology for excellence in research and writing. Svetka Kuljich and Roger Hernández, both CRMR members, are, respectively, a Ph.D. student and professor at the Faculté de foresterie, de géographie et géomatique of Université Laval. Carl Blais is a professor at the Faculté des sciences et de génie of Université Laval.
