EDI Scholarships 2024: Three Student Projects to Promote Ethics, Diversity, and Inclusion

CERMA-CRMR EDI Scholarships: Student Initiatives for an Inclusive Environment

The joint CERMA-CRMR EDI Committee is pleased to present the three students who have each been awarded a $500 scholarship to carry out a project related to ethics, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). They are:

  • Seyed Saman Vakili, PhD student in Wood Engineering and Bio-based Materials, under the supervision of Véronic Landry
    Project: Strengthening the Cycle of Kindness and Creating a Sense of Belonging
  • Tiam Mahmoudian, PhD candidate in Wood Engineering and Bio-based Materials, under the supervision of Alain Cloutier
    Project: Health and Wellness Directory: Improving Student Life
  • Seyed Ali Emamiam, PhD student in Civil Engineering, under the supervision of Luca Sorelli
    Project: Welcoming Newcomers: A Support Network for Housing and Essentials in Quebec

Congratulations to these three inspiring individuals, whose projects will contribute to improving the lives of CERMA and CRMR members!
