FINANCIAL SUPPORT PROGRAM

STUDENT MOBILITY 

May 2026 to April 2027

 

 

Objective

Provide financial support aimed at covering part of the travel and accommodation expenses of a student or postdoctoral fellow who is a member of the CRMR and is presenting a scientific communication at an international event (conference, seminar, congress, etc.).

Deadline:  This program is open throughout the year. Funding is available until the annual budget is exhausted.

Amount awarded per activity: $1,000 or 50% of costs (minimum of both amounts) and reimbursed to the research project of the CRMR professor member incurring the expense.

Guidelines and selection criteria

  •  Be registered as a full-time graduate student or post-doctoral fellow.
  • Have a director or co-director who is a regular member of the CRMR of University Laval.
  •  Have completed at least three semesters in the current program of study, in alignment with the CRMR’s research areas. In certain exceptional cases (e.g., direct entry into a PhD program), eligibility at the beginning of the program may be granted depending on the progress of the research project.
  • Present a scientific communication (oral presentation or poster) at an international event.
  • Only one activity per student may be funded per year.
  • A maximum of two activities per researcher will be funded per year. However, if funds remain available at the end of the fiscal year (March 31), additional activities may be funded.
  • The amount awarded per activity is $1,000 or 50% of eligible expenses (whichever is lower). The application must be submitted by the student in collaboration with their research supervisor. Funds will be paid directly to the research project of the professor responsible for the expenses.
  • Funding is awarded until the annual budget is exhausted.
  • The student must provide a photo and agree to the promotion of the event on the CRMR website and social media platforms.
