The Renewable Materials Research Centre (CRMR) would like to warmly congratulate Johanna Cristina Gaitan Alvarez, Maimoona Birjees, and Seyed Saman Vakili, who have each received a $250 motivation scholarship!
These scholarships aim to encourage students to submit applications for nominative and merit-based scholarships, while promoting access to research and excellence.
Incentive Measures Implemented in 2024:
To support students in their efforts, CRMR has implemented several concrete actions this year, including:
Regular dissemination of information on Canadian graduate scholarship programs (NSERC, FRQNT, SSHRC, etc.) via email, the website, and social media.
Personalized support for students through writing assistance sessions for scholarship applications, with the participation of previous recipients who shared their applications.
The awarding of three $250 incentive scholarships to encourage and value engagement.
The sharing of recipients’ grant applications with competition participants, offering them an insight into the selection criteria and best practices for submitting a successful application. This has inspired candidates to showcase their projects and served as a practical guide for future grant applications, providing concrete models and valuable advice.
These initiatives have been successful: 14 scholarship applications were submitted by CRMR student members in 2024 – an excellent result that demonstrates the positive impact of collective efforts!
👏 Congratulations to all those who applied this year, and once again, congratulations to the three winners!
The CRMR is committed to continuously evaluating the effectiveness of these measures and gathering feedback from students to optimize the scholarship application process. The goal is to ensure that the incentives remain aligned with the evolving needs of the student community.
