Congratulations to Antoine Harel, a student in forestry sciences in the laboratory of Evelyne Thiffault, associate professor at the FFGG and researcher at the CRMR-UL, who won a $10,000 scholarship as part of the « Good Earth Day » program for his project entitled « Fine-scale modeling of seasonal, intra-seasonal and spatial dynamics of soil CO2 fluxes in boreal fir forests ».
The objective of his work is to have a better understanding of the total respiration of the forest ecosystem, and therefore serve as a guide for forest management work in a perspective of enhancing carbon sinks.
This scholarship is offered by Fairmont Le Château Frontenac and contributes to the advancement of knowledge and science in the fight against climate change!
