Claudie-Maude Canuel’s publication on “Forest Biomass for Bioenergy as a Tool in the Fight Against Climate Change: What Are the Implications for Sustainable Forest Management in Eastern Canada?

We are delighted to present the article by Claudie-Maude Canuel, the result of a collaboration between Evelyne Thiffault and the Canadian Wood Fibre Centre, Natural Resources Canada. Titled « Forest biomass for bioenergy as a tool to mitigate climate change: Implications for sustainable forest management in eastern Canada» , this article highlights the challenges related to bioenergy from residual forest biomass, emphasizing its potential role in the energy transition. More specifically, the goal is to identify approaches that can promote the development of the forest bioenergy sector while ensuring sustainable forest management in Eastern Canada.
