Nsimba Kinuani and Myriam Drouin recently had the opportunity to represent CIRCERB at the third general assembly of the European research project INGUMA_Biobased. This event took place in Thessaloniki, Greece (January 22-23, 2025), where one of the project partners, CHIMAR HELLAS SA, is based. Specializing in the production of bio-based adhesives, CHIMAR plays a key role in the wood industry by developing sustainable solutions for wood-based product manufacturing.
During this meeting, Nsimba and Myriam had the chance to discuss the project’s progress and results, as well as the challenges and opportunities related to the use of bio-based materials in the construction industry. Collaboration among the various European partners, including researchers, industry professionals, and sector experts, has helped strengthen ties and deepen technical knowledge on integrating eco-friendly and innovative solutions into bio-based material production.
The INGUMA project aims to promote the transition to more sustainable, low-carbon footprint materials. CIRCERB has actively contributed by sharing its expertise and research on integrating bio-based materials into wood product manufacturing. This international collaboration is crucial for accelerating the adoption of greener practices in the industry and fostering innovation in the field.
