Baptiste Giorgio wins the Groupe Crête and CRMR writing grant, worth $5000, for the winter 2023 session!

17 April 2023

Congratulations to Baptiste Giorgio who has been awarded the Groupe Crête and the Renewable Materials Research Center (RMRC) Writing Grant for the winter 2023 session. Baptiste is a doctoral student in wood and bio-based materials engineering under the supervision of  Pierre Blanchet  (Laval University) and Aline Barlet (École nationale supérieure d’architecture et de paysage de Bordeaux).

The objective of the support grant is to promote academic studies and research related to the research axes of the CRMR, by offering financial assistance to a graduate student at the end of his or her studies and who has no further source of funding. Baptiste Giorgio’s application was chosen by a selection committee composed of four members of the CRMR on the basis of his academic record, his personal and scientific achievements, and the quality of his project.

Thank you again, dear committee, for your support in this process!

The CRMR would also like to thank Groupe Crête for its financial support and to give the students of the CRMR without funding, the opportunity to finish their master’s or doctoral thesis in style.

Thanks also to the Bureau des bourses et de l’aide financière (BBAF) of Laval University and more specifically to the Scholarship Committee of the Faculty of Forestry, Geography and Geomatics for organizing this scholarship (Sauphie Senneville specifically).
