An unforgettable summer welcome at CRMR – Summer 2025!

13 May 2025

On May 12, 2025, the Renewable Materials Research Centre (RMRC) held its warm welcome coffee to launch the summer session officially. True to tradition, this convivial event was an opportunity to welcome the 25 new members joining our team.

Among them, we are delighted to welcome 11 graduate students: 6 at master’s level and 5 at doctoral level, one postdoctoral fellow, and 13 interns and research assistants. The richness of their backgrounds and the diversity of their expertise energize our environment, bringing fresh and inspiring perspectives. Their arrival will undoubtedly contribute to nurturing the spirit of innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and excellence that is the strength of the CRMR.

In addition to the official presentations, the meeting provided a valuable opportunity to discuss future activities. The session promises to be a promising one, with specialized training courses, expert conferences, and social events designed to encourage informal exchanges and strengthen links between members. These initiatives aim to build a dynamic, inclusive, and stimulating working environment, conducive to high-level research.

A big thank you to all participants for helping to make this back-to-school event a success, bringing together nearly 90 people in a festive and inspiring atmosphere. Their enthusiastic presence set the tone for the summer ahead: a summer of commitment, sharing, and collaboration.

We gratefully acknowledge the presence of the FFGG leadership team, whose ongoing commitment to the next generation helps foster an inclusive, stimulating environment conducive to scientific excellence!

The café d’accueil continued with a festive BBQ organized by the Highly Qualified Persons (HQP) Committee, providing an opportunity to extend the exchanges in a convivial and relaxed atmosphere. This festive occasion, punctuated by laughter, spontaneous discussions, and wonderful encounters, encouraged the creation of bonds between members, both new and old. Many thanks to the HQP committee for helping to make this event a memorable one. These social initiatives play a key role in the development of a stimulating, inclusive, and collaborative living environment – qualities that enrich and complement our scientific and academic activities.
