Rosilei Garcia and Alain Cloutier Represent Corepan-Bois at PTF BPI 2025

We are proud to highlight the participation of Rosilei Garcia and Alain Cloutier in the 8th International Conference on Processing Technologies for the Forest and Bio-based Products Industries (PTF BPI 2025), a landmark event bringing together global leaders in the forestry and bio-based products sectors, held on September 18–19, 2025, in Kuchl/Salzburg.

At this prestigious event, Rosilei Garcia presented the results of an innovative project through an oral presentation, focusing on the performance of OSB panels made from gray pine veneers produced with a new flaker-splitter. This technical advancement significantly enhances the valorization of softwood residues and opens new opportunities for optimizing OSB panel manufacturing processes, while addressing sustainability and innovation challenges in the industry.

The team wishes to express its sincere gratitude to its invaluable collaborators: Irsan Alipraja, Roger E. Hernández, and Ahmed Koubaa, as well as its financial and industrial partners: the National Research Council Canada, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forests (MRNF), the Quebec Forest Industry Council, Arbec Forest Products Inc., FPInnovations, Tafisa Canada, Uniboard, and Sacopan. Their unwavering support and valuable collaborations are at the heart of our projects’ success and contribute fully to the international reputation and continuous innovation of Corepan-Bois and CRMR.

Congratulations to Rosilei Garcia and Alain Cloutier for their major contribution to research on wood-based composite panels and for their essential role in enhancing the international visibility of Corepan-Bois and CRMR. Their work perfectly exemplifies the excellence and innovation that are the hallmarks of our expertise.
