You are cordially invited to the conference given by Claudie-Maude Canuel, a young researcher in forestry sciences, on Monday, February 26, 2024, at 1 p.m., online. The conference is entitled « Forest, biomass, and bioenergy: a comparative analysis of British Columbia and Quebec ». Welcome to all!
Conference speaker: Claudie-Maude Canuel, doctoral student in forest sciences, Department of Wood and Forest Sciences.
Presentation title: Forest, biomass and bioenergy: a comparative analysis of British Columbia and Quebec!
Abstract: Claudie-Maude has been working on projects related to forest bioenergy value chains in Eastern Canada since 2019. She completed an internship at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver during the fall 2023 semester. Her goal was to learn more about forest bioenergy value chains in Western Canada and understand the social, economic and ecological context in which they are embedded. Hierconference will address a comparative analysis of the development of forest bioenergy value chains between British Columbia and Quebec, with a focus on activities in the forestry sector. While British Columbia seems to benefit from infrastructure and operational know-how, Quebec could benefit from its history of collaboration.
When will the event take place? Monday, February 26, 2024, at 1 p.m. – Online event in French (English Q&A possible).
