👏 Congratulations to João Vítor Felippe Silva and Pierre Blanchet on the publication of their article, « A systematic review of the developments in bonding performance of hardwoods for mass timber composites » ,in European Journal of Wood and Wood Products!
🌲 This literature review shows that hardwoods have strong potential for mass timber construction, but their use remains limited by challenges related to bonding. Bonding performance depends, among other factors, on wood density, adhesive compatibility, and wood anatomy. The findings highlight the need for further research to optimize bonding technologies and promote the use of hardwoods in mass timber construction.
