Forest Show 2025: CRMR at the Heart of the Event!

Quebec, March 24, 2025 – The 46th edition of the Forest Show, organized by the Forestry Science Week committee, took place on March 22 and 23, 2025, at the Alphonse-Desjardins Pavilion at Laval University. Under the theme “Your forests, it’s in our branch!”, this unmissable event brought together a large audience, from professionals in the field to curious individuals eager to learn more about forestry and its various challenges.

Visitors were able to enjoy a diverse program, including: ✅ Conferences on challenges and innovations in forestry
✅ A photo contest highlighting the diversity of Quebec’s forests
✅ Student booths and a youth space to raise awareness among the next generation
✅ Forest games to learn while having fun
✅ Technological demonstrations, including a forest machinery simulator and a multifunctional harvester

CRMR at the Heart of the Event!

The  Renewable  Research  Materials  Centre (CRMR) was well represented throughout the event with a booth run by Assira Keralta and Ilias El Ouahabi. A big thank you to them for their involvement and enthusiasm! Many visitors had the opportunity to engage with them and learn more about the latest advancements in research and innovation in the field of renewable materials.

Professor Alexandre Morin-Bernard also captivated the audience on March 22 at 10 a.m. with his conference titled “Seeing the Forest Differently – Remote Sensing to Reveal Forest Dynamics.” This presentation offered a fascinating perspective on the use of remote sensing technologies to better understand and manage our forests.

Thanks to the dedication of the exhibitors, speakers, and volunteers, the Salon de la Forêt once again demonstrated the importance of exchanges between the various stakeholders in the sector. The event provided a unique opportunity to discover the many resources, functions, and uses of Quebec’s forests.
