Presentation summary:

The democratization of access to remote sensing technologies, including LiDAR sensors and unmanned aerial vehicles, has greatly enhanced our ability to characterize forests and understand how they change over time. From automating ecoforestry mapping to measuring key attributes at the plot and tree scale, this talk will present the latest developments in forest ecosystem inventory methods, highlighting ongoing research projects at the Montmorency Forest that apply these next-generation techniques.
