Charles Breton publishes a method and a Python script to calculate national carbon budgets!

We are pleased to present the article by Charles Breton titled “A novel method to calculate SSP-consistent remaining carbon budgets for the building sector: A case study of Canada.” This research, conducted as part of the CIRCERB activities under the direction of Pierre Blanchet, proposes a method and a Python script to calculate national carbon budgets, applied specifically to Canada. By exploring the budget shares of the Canadian building sector, the study shows that this sector is unlikely to meet its share, even with optimistic assumptions. The article also highlights limitations and suggests research avenues to improve this approach.
